Another FEMA Official Leaves In Wake of Scandal

By Alissa Krinsky

CNN reports that FEMA press secretary Aaron Walker resigned yesterday. A FEMA official tells CNN that Walker and John “Pat” Philbin, the agency’s now-former external affairs director, bear the “greatest degree of responsibility for the planning and execution” of the now-famous October 23 fake news conference on California wildfires.

Philbin announced his departure just days after the fake presser. In an interview yesterday, he told CNN, “It happened on my watch. I should have known better. I should have done more.”
