Anderson Cooper “Serves A Purpose”

Today on WashingtonPost.com, a Live Online chatter asked Lisa de Moraes if she could “make Anderson Cooper go away.” She says he’s “way too self-absorbed in his ‘I’m a journalist, look at me show how much I care’ mode.” de Moraes’ reply was great:

“Ah, but Anderson Cooper serves a purpose. Without Anderson Cooper we would not fully appreciate the work of, say, reporter Nic Robertson, or show anchor Brian Williams, for example. It helps to have that that point of comparison…that and he’s so darned cute…”
