American Morning Losing Its Biz Anchor

When Andy Serwer was promoted to managing editor of Fortune magazine this week, the press release said he would “continue to have an on-air presence on CNN.” Serwer is a popular business anchor on CNN’s American Morning.

But Variety reports that “editing the magazine won’t permit a daily TV appearance.”

“Giving that program up is really painful,” Serwer says. He and Jon Klein are “discussing other roles, perhaps special business-themed segments once or twice a week.”
