This story apparently fell in ABC’s laps:

“American intelligence officials say they expected some sort of communique from al Qaeda on this fourth anniversary of September,” correspondent Brian Ross said on Sunday’s Good Morning America.

“And officials say a videotape delivered to ABC News offices in Pakistan yesterday appears to be it. It’s not from bin Laden or his number two man, Zawahiri. Instead, it appears to be from a young American who has turned on his country.”

The tape showed Adam Gadahn, an American-born Al Qaeda operative formerly of Orange County, California. More…
