Aftermath Ratings: FNC Averaged 3.2 Mil In Prime; 2.8 Mil In Total Day

Because of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Fox News was the #1 channel on cable last week. It “trounced all the cable competition, averaging 3.12 million total viewers in prime,” Broadcasting & Cable says. CNN was the #2 cable network with 2.56 million viewers. MSNBC averaged 1.01 million and HLN was lower on the list with 622,000.

In total day, FNC averaged 2.8 million viewers, up 184% from its yearly average. “CNN’s 2.1 million was up 325 percent and MSNBC’s 766,000 was up 250 percent,” the AP says…
