Aftermath: Criticizing The Media Isn’t Important During A Disaster?

In today’s Washington Post online chat, Howard Kurtz didn’t answer the important part of the question (emph. added):

“Your CNN show ‘Reliable Sources’ did not air for the past two Sundays in favor of ’round-the-clock hurricane coverage. How involved are you in the decision of whether your show will be dumped on any given day? Do you agree with the network’s inherent assessment that criticizing the media is not important when disasters take center stage?

Howard Kurtz: I am not involved at all. The decision was out of my hands.”
