After The Debate: FNC’s Carl Cameron Interviews Sarah Palin

By Alissa Krinsky

First on TVNewser: FNC’s Carl Cameron conducted a post-debate interview with Gov. Sarah Palin this morning, according to a Fox News Channel spokesperson. Clips from the exchange are to be shown throughout the afternoon, with a longer excerpt to air during Special Report with Brit Hume this evening.

Interest in the debate was “off the charts,” Cameron told TVNewser last night in St. Louis. But he believes the focus will soon shift back to the top of the tickets. “As soon as the debate is done,” Cameron says, “it’s gonna snap back to being about McCain and Obama anyway.”

After wrapping up things in Missouri, Cameron says he and his FNC colleagues will get on the road again, driving to Nashville later today. It’s a non-stop campaign schedule that allows him to do his job — but not necessarily to get much sleep. “About three weeks ago, it got to be like a one all-nighter-a-week routine,” he explains. But with the election ever nearer, “we’re now at two all-nighters a week.”
