ABC Suspends Green: “Revenge Against Him By Leaking E-Mails Is Really A Crime”

Many ABC Newsers have anonymously e-mailed TVNewser since John Green‘s suspension on Friday.

“I work at weekend GMA at ABC. I am very upset about the John Green situation. I worked with the leaker, and when fired, he threatened to destroy John and our senior producers,” one person wrote. “…We all always thought he was nuts. None of the people I work with have anything but great things to say about John and Ted and would never help him.”

“The Green suspension is just a mess,” another person wrote. “We understand that he shouldn’t have put those things in writing (just because he is a TV producer doesn’t mean he is not allowed to have political beliefs — but that doesn’t mean it should reflect in coverage). But revenge against him by leaking e-mails is really a crime.”

A third person said: “John Green sent that e-mail two years ago. If his actions were so egregious, why did ABC wait so long to suspend him? It seems a little self serving to me.

And from a fourth: “The next development in the John Green saga is publicly identifying the sender. Should a disgruntled employee be allowed to anonymously destroying this guy?” Does anyone have proof of who did it?
