ABC News and Yahoo, who’ve had a partnership since 2011, will collaborate on an investigative series on campaign financing during the 2016 elections. ABC’s Brian Ross and Yahoo’s Michael Isikoff are teaming up for the series called the Money Trail. Isikoff joined Yahoo last summer after 4 years with NBC News.
Their first story, about the Clinton Foundation taking donations from an accused rights violator, aired last night on World News Tonight with a longer print story on Yahoo News. The team got footage from a Clinton Foundation summit in Morocco. “Now that Hillary Clinton is on the presidential campaign trail, far from the luxury of Marrakech, the foundation says it has put limits on future foreign donations,” Ross reported.
