ABC News: Looking For The “Picture Of Health”

By Alissa Krinsky

In a press release, ABC News announces it is teaming up with Prevention magazine for the second annual “Picture of Health” contest. The goal? To find a woman, 40+, who is the “Picture of Health”. The winner will receive $10,000 ($5,000 for herself and $5,000 for a charity of choice), and will appear on Good Morning America in June, and in Prevention‘s September issue.

Last year’s winner was B.J. Reed, 66, of Medford, Oregon, who survived a coma after a car accident. Told she would never bend her knee again, she went on to train for marathons and triathlons.

Entrants must submit essays explaining what good health means to them, and must upload a one-minute testimonial video. Click on continued to read the release.
