CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN en Español Nominated for Daytime Emmys

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards earlier this week. The ceremony will be held on April 30th in Pasadena, CA.

CBS leads the charge with 70 nods, followed by syndication (51), Amazon (50), PBS (40), ABC (38), NBC (36), Netflix (36), Nickelodeon (18), HBO (10) and Food Network (9).

Television news is well-represented, per usual. Here are the news category nominees:

Outstanding Morning Program in Spanish

  • Café CNN (CNN en Español)
  • Despierta America (Univision)
  • Un Nuevo Dia (Telemundo)

Primer Impacto anchor Barbara Bermudo (Univision) and Encuentro anchor Camilo Egaña (CNN en Español) are nominated in the Outstanding Daytime Talent in a Spanish Language Program category.

CNN en Español’s Destinos is nominated in the Outstanding Entertainment Program in Spanish category.

CBS Sunday Morning director Nora Gerard, Good Morning America executive director Jeff Winn, and Today Show director Jim Gaines are among the nominees in the Outstanding Directing in a Talk Show/Entertainment News or Morning Program

ABC News’ The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Raven Symone, Paula Faris,  Sara Haines, Jedediah Bila, Sunny Hostin are nominated in the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host category.
