The RTDNA held their annual Edward R. Murrow Awards gala yesterday evening at Gotham Hall in New York. Among the TV newsers who handed out Murrow Awards at the black-tie event –which has honored the best in TV and radio journalism on a local and on a national level since 1971– were CBS This Morning-Saturday co-host Michelle Miller, CBS News Radio White House correspondent Steven Portnoy, ABC World News Tonight anchor David Muir, CNN correspondent Leyla Santiago, and NBC News correspondent Harry Smith.
ABC World News Tonight with David Muir won best television network newscast, CBS World News Roundup won best radio newscast, and CBS News won the Overall Excellence award for a television network.
