“A Work In Progress:” ‘Nightline’ Experiments Are Journalistically Sound

Today’s Boston Globe watches ABC’s experimental summer Nightline shows, and says some of the segments work better than others. (ABC has aired about eight shows that experiment with formats, concepts, lighting, sounds, music, sets, etc.)

The Globe’s Ed Siegel writes: “So here’s the good news about the Nightline experiment, which ABC News is quick to point out is a work in progress. Despite being aimed, seemingly, at limited attention spans, the quality of the journalism remains fairly high.”
