“A Semblance Of An Agreement” Between Cablevision & News Corp

Cablevision and News Corp have reached “a semblance of an agreement” to re-up the Fox News Channel, CNBC’s David Faber reported this morning. “The question is, what’s News Corp going to get for Fox? I don’t know the answer but I can tell you it’s a lot more than 25 cents,” Faber said.

FNC had threatened to pull the plug if Cablevision didn’t agree to steep rate increases. Their deal expires on Saturday. Faber said: “if you’re in the [NYC] metropolitan area and a Cablevision subscriber, you’re not going to see your Fox News Channel disappear over the weekend…”
