Moviegoers may feel a chill up their spine during the first minutes of Steven Spielberg’s film Munich, as the gruesome events of the 1972 Olympics are recounting using archival footage from ABC and other television networks. TV newsers will undoubtedly notice Peter Jennings‘ presence on-screen. Jennings’ distinctive voice is heard several times during the flashbacks. At one point, a lone television set is shown in a corner, with Jennings’ name on the chyron. His reporting from Munich “helped put ABC News on the map,” his biography notes, and seeing moments of it on the big screen will bring back memories of 33 years ago…
