Journalist and public relations executive John Couric has died at age 90. Couric was the father of soon-to-be ABC host Katie Couric.
The elder Couric was a journalist and editor for United Press, reporting throughout the Southeastern U.S., before moving into public relations. Among other entities, Couric worked for the National Association of Broadcasters, a trade group which counts all of the major broadcast television organizations as members.
