If you have ever wanted to know how a newsroom operates, but feel HBO’s The Newsroom just isn’t authentic enough, Sky News might have something coming down the pipe that may interest you.
BuzzFeed UK media & politics reporter Mark Di Stefano is reporting that Sky News is going to livestream everything that happens in its newsroom, online and on a dedicated channel from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m local time on a day to be determined.
The network is reportedly calling the stream, Sky News Raw.
According to Di Stefano, Sky News reporters were told earlier today that 32 cameras and microphones are being installed all around their newsrooms.
Dan Williams, Head or Sky News politics: “…for the day we will all need to be very conscious that we are being filmed and the obvious implications that has.”
What a work environment for news!

Yeah, seriously. Would you feel comfortable if your every action at work was caught on camera? Apparently a number of Sky Newsers aren’t keen.
Source: “so many people have complained that they’re in the newsroom because they don’t want to be in front of the camera. Plus IT’S ONLY GONNA BE FOR ONE DAY”

We reached out to Sky News for more information about this, and will update this item when we hear back.
Bret Baier tweeted that this project sounds like CBS’ Big Brother. Pretty apt comparison, I’d say.
Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about that one. A little Big Brother https://t.co/hZuaWGzMC5

Fox News and Sky News presently share the same parent company, 21st Century Fox. However, Comcast will soon own Sky News. I wonder how they feel about this move!?
