Dateline NBC made some music over the weekend. Anchor Lester Holt’s band The Rough Cuts—made up of Dateline editors and producers–played a show at their go-to Sunday night venue Hill Country BBQ, in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan.
For the first time, Holt put down his bass guitar and sang lead vocals last night, going with James Taylor‘s “How Sweet It Is.”
In addition to his band mates, Holt was joined by NBC News correspondents Kate Snow and Stephanie Gosk.
Speaking of Dateline and music, Taylor Swift managed to snag a photo with Dateline co-host Dennis Murphy after her concert in Miami on Saturday night.
Swift told Vogue back in 2016 that Dateline was her favorite TV show.
