Four of the five tweets Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has sent so far today have something to do with cable news. Two take aim at CNN, one is a shot at MSNBC, and another is a promo for an interview tonight on Fox News.
First, CNN. Trump called anchor Don Lemon “a lightweight” after he got into an argument with one his guests, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino, about Trump’s statement about Hillary Clinton and the Second Amendment.
.@dbongino You were fantastic in defending both the Second Amendment and me last night on @CNN. Don Lemon is a lightweight – dumb as a rock

A half hour later, Trump sent out a tweet about MSNBC’s Morning Joe:
Morning Joe’s weakness is its low ratings. I don’t watch anymore but I heard he went wild against Rudy Giuliani and #2A – sad & irrelevant!

But Nielsen data shows Morning Joe’s ratings are actually quite high. In July, the show gave MSNBC its biggest total viewer audience for the 6 a.m.-9 a.m. time slot in the 20-year history of the network. And the week of Aug. 1, was Morning Joe’s highest rated non-event week ever.
Lastly, in his series of tweets about TV news, Trump would like you to know he’s on Greta Van Susteren‘s show tonight
I will be interviewed on @greta tonight at 7pm. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/9yicUxd87D
