With all the attention placed on Conan O’Brien’s “Tonight” show last week, the NBC program averaged an additional 1 million total viewers compared to the week prior.
Despite that, the “Tonight” show was still only the third most-watched show on the broadcast networks at 11:35pm. ABC’s “Nightline” continued its streak, making it 30 consecutive weeks that the news program has topped the NBC broadcast.
David Letterman’s “Late Show” on CBS was most watched in Total Viewers, though O’Brien’s show drew the most viewers in the 25-54 and 18-49 demographics. “Nightline,” which had coverage of the earthquake in Haiti much of last week, drew the second most total viewers and was third in both demographics.
