For the fourth week in a row, ABC’s “Nightline” was the #2 show in late night in both Total Viewers. The show also came in second in two key younger demos.
“Nightline” finished behind “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” — which has regained a hold on the #1 spot — and ahead of “Late Show with David Letterman” which was in re-runs last week.
“Nightline” also continues to cut the viewing gap with Leno, narrowing the Total Viewer gap 33% week-to-week and 72% year-to-year. The breaking news of the volcano in Iceland helped pull in viewers.
