After three consecutive wins by ABC for general election debate ratings, NBC was #1 last night in the final presidential debate of the cycle.
The only networks to grow from last week’s debate were NBC and FNC.
NBC won the debate and the debate analysis, with ABC in second and CBS third on the broadcast networks. FNC won on cable in Total Viewers, and CNN was tops in the A25-54 demo.
With Wednesday’s prime time line-up weaker than Tuesday’s, each network built on their 8pmET lead-in, with ABC up the most.
Network | Total Viewers |
---|---|
NBC | 11,300,000 |
ABC | 10,600,000 |
CBS | 9,160,000 |
FNC | 9,068,000 |
CNN | 8,931,000 |
MSNBC | 3,724,000 |
> Update: With 56.5 million viewers, the debate drew fewer viewers than the second match-up, but more than the final Bush/Kerry ’04 debate.
