A close split decision for the Sunday public affairs shows the week before Election Day: NBC’s “Meet the Press” won in total viewers, just barely beating out CBS’ “Face the Nation,” and ABC’s “This Week” won in the A25-54 demographic.
The show with the most growth, however, continues to be Univision’s “Al Punto,” which is up +58% in total viewers and +62% in the A25-54 demographic compared to the same week last year. “Al Punto” had its best ratings of the season so far, trailing “Meet the Press” by only -23,000 demo viewers.
All the other shows were down in both total viewers and the demo year-over-year.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,346,000 total viewers and 361,000 A25-54 viewers. Cable rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 1,194,000 total viewers and 586,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
