Live Roaming, Campaign Style

FNC used its ElectionLink truck to broadcast a live interview with Sen. John McCain Friday. FNC’s Caroline Shively interviewed McCain on his Straight Talk Express as it rolled down the highway in New Hampshire.

One of FNC’s ElectionLink vehicles following behind the bus was able to transmit the live signal back to FNC headquarters.

CNN has similar technology in its CNN Election Express.

Meanwhile, MSNBC’s David Shuster was roaming around a regional cheerleading competition in Des Moines this morning with the MSNBC “Comvu” cam. Shuster talked on the phone with anchor Alex Witt as he transmitted live pictures back to MSNBC. The report was about Oprah Winfrey‘s visit to Iowa in support of Sen. Barack Obama.
