Britain’s intelligence service, MI6, is under intense scrutiny. The agency’s leader, a woman known only as “M,” is facing a public grilling from bureaucrats, and on CNN, Wolf Blitzer updates viewers on the latest intrigue surrounding the normally secretive agency.
CNN’s Blitzer plays himself in the new James Bond movie Skyfall, which opens today in theaters. Blitzer is actually the second CNNer to make a guest appearance in a major movie this month. Flight, the Denzel Washington film that opened last week, features “Piers Morgan Tonight” anchor Piers Morgan. Morgan covers the fallout from a plane crash, in which Washington’s character was the pilot.
Blitzer, however, may have one-upped his English colleague with his appearance in what is arguably Britain’s most beloved film franchise. Certainly worthy of a martini. Shaken, not stirred, of course.
