It’s a split for the political affairs shows on October 7: NBC’s “Meet the Press” won in Total Viewers and ABC’s “This Week” won in the A25-54 demographic.
CBS’ “Face the Nation,” which has traded off the top spot with “Meet the Press” for the past year, was third in both ratings measurements. “Fox News Sunday” was fourth and Univision’s “Al Punto” was fifth.
As the election draws to a close, more people are tuning in to the Sunday political affairs shows. Compared to the same week last year, “Meet the Press,” “This Week” and “Fox News Sunday” are all up double digits in both ratings measurements.
“Fox News Sunday” delivered its highest Total Viewer audience of 2012. Cable replays of the program averaged a combined 2,067,000 Total Viewers and 482,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour airs in just 47% of the country.
