The gap between NBC Nightly News and ABC’s World News stood at 749,000 total viewers last week. “Last week’s 10.247 average represents the Williams-led program’s best total viewer delivery in over a year,” NBC says.
ABC says: “For the fifth consecutive week, World News grew its Total Viewing audience year-to-year, increasing 5% this past week. The ABC broadcast also posted its highest delivery among key demo viewers (3.14 million) in nearly eleven months (week of 2/20/06).” Update: 3:22pm: NN grew its audience 1 percent compared to the same week a year ago.
For the week of Jan. 15:
Total viewers: NBC: 10,250,000 / ABC: 9,500,000 / CBS: 7,800,000
25-54 demo: NBC: 2.7/9 / ABC: 2.6/9 / CBS: 2.1/7
