Politico’s Dylan Byers has some fun by noting that at least a handful of media outlets seem to be bored with the 2012 elections already, and are moving on to 2016:
A quick search of the Nexis database shows that the “run four years from now” discussion has been exceptionally pervasive this year: Through November, 229 news articles, online items, or television transcripts have mentioned the phrase “run in 2016.”
The cable news channels have been unafraid to speculate as well:
