An e-mailer wonders about Today’s fourth hour:
“What happens if they have to update the West Coast 7am feed of Today for a big story (but one that’s not big enough to interrupt the entire network)? Do they have two control rooms running simultaneously — one for the 7-8am West Coast Today, one for the 10-11am East Coast Today? Two sets?”
> Update: 12:06pm: An NBC insider responds: “Yes, Today will have the ability to be on the air in two places at the same time. We have two control rooms and different set locations. Because we knew a 4th hour was a possibility, this was part of the plan when we recently rebuilt and redesigned studio 1A.”
