By Alex Weprin

Last night were the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards, and the big winners were “Modern Family,” “Homeland” and HBO’s “Game Change.”

“Game Change” won for “Outstanding Miniseries or Movie”, as well as the top writing and directing awards in the genre. Actress Julianne Moore also won for her portrayal of former VP nominee and Fox News contributor Sarah Palin.

“I feel so validated,” Moore said on stage, “because Sarah Palin gave me a big thumbs down.”
