So how were your predictions on this question?: The Cable News Show Most Likely To Be Canceled in 2009 is…
Pretty good, it turns out.
Half of you (50%) predicted “D.L. Hughley Breaks The News” would fall off the CNN schedule. It did, in March.
25% of you thought MSNBC’s “1600 Pennsylvania Ave.” would go away. It did, when “The Ed Show” premiered in the 6pmET timeslot in April.
18% of you thought “Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell” on HLN would be canceled, but that show is thriving. In 2009, it increased the most of any evening cable news program (from 7p-12m) increasing 32% among Total viewers and up 29% among A25-54 viewers.
8% thought Fox News Watch would go away but it is going strong on the FNC schedule on Saturday afternoon and Saturday late night.
