Zap2it adds new features to encourage social TV conversations

Tribune Media owned Zap2it.com has launched some brand new social TV features to provide more opportunities for engagement across their news site. “Zap2it Rewards Challenge,” its new product, is an “on-going program encouraging social conversation and sharing around popular TV shows and celebrities designed to build user loyalty and site stickiness.” The new program will also create a new social TV sponsorship opportunity for their brand advertisers. Zap2it shared further details about the program and the first promotion they’re running as part of it.

They’re already running the first promotion, to earn the “Head Writer Badge,” to get the chance to win an iPad. The cool part is that all you have to do is authenticate in with one of your social networks and then just read, like and interact with Zap2it content to instantly get points.
