Xbox Live TV product will be ready for the holiday season

Xbox continues to push forward with their TV offerings. They announced in June that they’d eventually offer more Live TV options, and they recently rolled out a new ESPN Xbox experience. This past week the Seattle Times got a hold of a slide Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer used at a financial analyst conference. For the holiday season, they plan to offer ten times more content for their “Entertainment Hub” and increase “Live TV” and “Video On-Demand.”

If Microsoft secures a few good content partners, they could easily become a major competitor for the Roku, Boxee, Apple TV and Google TV’s in today’s ecosystem. They’ve already won the hearts of major gamers, and as their tenth anniversary approaches this November, this might be a great start to the console’s second decade. Xbox is already offering live TV services in England, France and Australia.
