GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for creation and development of sponsorship-based online tools, pages, products and web-based interfaces for KREM.com and other KREM-TV/BELO web properties in a timely manner. Maintains and troubleshoots local computer systems in Sales department. Will work and coordinate with other BELO websites in implementing company improvements and relevant site maintenance. Looks for innovative, effective, positive, and prompt solutions to problems and adversities that arise.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains HTML, JavaScript and other code for sponsored areas of KREM.com and other KREM-TV Online properties.
2. Develops & codes online content and prioritize multiple projects.
3. Builds new sections and pages for Sales department.
4. Publishes and updates stories, video elements, and other sales content.
5. Designs new online interfaces and tools.
6. Builds splash pages, sales tools, and unique sponsored online content.
7. Updates
8. Maintains and updates Sales department computer systems.
9. Incorporates outside content to match KREM.com’s branding.
10. Participates in strategic content discussions.
11. Keeps up to date on changing technologies and how they might relate to KREM.com.
12. Is available to help Belo Interactive tech team troubleshoot problems and come up with solutions to sites’ needs.
13. Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelors degree in Web Design/Development or related field preferred…
2. Demonstrated deadline Web development skills.
EXPERIENCE
1. Previous web design and development experience.
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Products.
3. Proficiency with various Web development tools, including HomeSite, Dreamweaver, Flash.
4. Must have experience in Windows software environments and other software relevant to the job.
5. Competent use of graphic programs such as Photoshop or similar.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Must be able to prioritize tasks and work under deadline pressure on time-sensitive projects.
2. Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees and all levels of management.
3. Think up creative ways to enhance our sales content to create more traffic.
4. Troubleshoot and correct technical problems with computers and software.
5. Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
6. Must be self motivated and maintain solid work ethic.
7. Must be a team player.
OTHER
1. Uses personal computers, laser printer, telephones, copy machine, fax machines.
2. Works minimum of 8 hour day 5 days per week Monday-Friday.
