Virgin River was the most streamed program for the week of July 18, according to the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 report.
The soapy medical drama dethroned Stranger Things for the No 1. spot, pulling in 2.63 billion minutes viewed. Virgin River’s viewing audience was nearly two-thirds over 50 and almost a third over 65 years old. Stranger Things slipped to second place with 2.27 billion minutes viewed. The action thriller The Gray Man was the third most streamed program with 1.43 billion minutes viewed and was No.1 on the Top 10 Streaming movies list.
Prime Video made the Top 10 list with The Boys and The Terminal List, both tied at 532 million minutes viewed. The Boys attracted a younger audience, with 38% coming from 18-34-year-olds, while The Terminal List’s audience was 50-64-year-olds at 31%.
Hulu’s Only Murders in The Building made some gains in viewership with 372 million minutes viewed, up from 369 million minutes viewed last week.
Alone was the most streamed on the Top 10 Streaming Acquired Programs list at 745 million minutes viewed. The Big Bang Theory and Friends combined had 800 million viewing minutes. Friends had the highest concentration of Hispanic viewers at 30%.
Zombies 3 was a hit among the 2-11-year-old audience, deriving 54% of its 266 million viewing minutes from the age group.
