Netflix Cancels Uncoupled After One Season

Uncoupled has been canceled after one season on Netflix.

The news comes six months after the eight-episode first season premiered on the streamer.

Neil Patrick Harris plays a newly single gay New Yorker navigating the dating scene for the first time in 17 years in the series after being unexpectedly dumped by his long-term partner. He realizes that to avoid remaining single indefinitely, he needs take action as he gets used to being single in his late 40s and learns that the gay dating scene has evolved while he was in a relationship.

The series also starred Tuc Watkins, Tisha Campbell, Marcia Gay Harden, Emerson Brooks and Brooks Ashmanskas.

André De Shields, Colin Hanlon, Jai Rodriguez, Nic Rouleau, Jasai Chase Owens, Stephanie Faracy and Byron Jennings recurred.

While the cancellation is sad, especially since the season finale ended on a cliffhanger, it’s not exactly surprising. The show only spent one week on Netflix’s Top 10 list.

Moreover, Uncoupled isn’t the only series Netflix has axed in recent weeks, including Dead End: Paranormal Park, Inside Job, 1899, Blockbuster and Warrior Nun.
