Twitter’s COO Adam Bain announced Tuesday morning that the social network will be using Periscope to livestream ten Thursday Night Football games next season. Bain added that they will also control “some” of the ad inventory, according to Variety. They’ve also secured rights for the pregame and postgame content.
Industry insiders and fans are reacting to the deal on, of course, Twitter.
Key element of NFL/twitter deal – TNF games will be available to the world (not just US market) in a place where sports fans gather.

Maybe @Twitter won #TNF @NFL rights because least threatening to the NFL’s legacy TV ecosystem — $TWTR is NOT a streaming video company

I like the brand synergy between Twitter and TNF, considering both are trainwrecks at all times.
