TV show sets Facebook goal, promises bonus episode

The TruTV show Operation Repo wants to hit 500,000 likes on Facebook, so it’s issuing a challenge to its fans: hit the number by the end of the season in April, and they’ll produce an bonus episode just for Facebook.

The show has 243,622 fans right now. “Sure, 500,000 is a huge number,” the show says on its Facebook splash page. “But Operation Repo is the most addictive show on television, and Lou and his gang always get what they go after — so we’re confident our fans will help us reach our goal.” TruTV says it would be a full-length episode with an introduction from the show’s colorful cast.

It’s not the first time a cable show has rewarded its Facebook fans. And as we reported last week, Nick is debuting a Spongebob episode on its Facebook page tonight, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The episode airs tomorrow on Nick.
