Training Specialist, req #033-07
POSITION STATEMENT:
The Training Specialist is responsible for assisting in training
Internet Broadcasting staff members on the tools they will use in
their daily work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This employee will assist in training new editors in the various
tools they will need to do their daily jobs (Phaedra, Vegas Video,
Digital Rapids, DMPS, VideoCMS, Photoshop Elements, MS Word, MS
PowerPoint, etc.) as well as guiding new editors in journalistic
exellence. This position will also help the training department grow
to help other aspects of Internet Broadcasting. Some travel will be
required.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SILLS & ABILITIES)
REQUIRED:
·Bachelor’s degree required.
·Minimum 2-4 years of journalism experience, preferably in online
news.
·Must be a self-starter and must have outstanding written, verbal,
listening and presentation skills. Should have experience with
Phaedra, the Internet Broadcasting content management system.
Other requirements:
·Must also be proficient with Microsoft application software (i.e.,
Word and PowerPoint).
·Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and
requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven
environment.
·Well organized with a high attention to detail.
·Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced, environment with frequent
interruptions.
·Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
