Time Inc. weeklies will add more social networking

You’re going to see more social networking features on sites for Time Inc. weeklies in the upcoming months. Executive VP Tom Squires tells Mediaweek the success of Sports Illustrated‘s incorporation of recently purchased FanNation has encouraged the company to move forward with more interactivity on other traditional “weeklies.” (As obsolete a term as any.) From Mediaweek: “Squires wouldn’t specify which sites would add a social networking component, but Time and People magazines are likely candidates.”
