The LR Endorsement: Grace radio app

By Steve Safran

I’ve been spending some time with the digital radio app from Grace, a company that manufactures internet radios. Grace Digital Radio can get thousands of radio stations, traditional and web-only. The app is $4.99, and for a little more it will even give you Sirius channels. Five bucks to get all of these great choices is a bargain. We still spend time with local stations, especially during the commute. And for those of us who take the train, our iPods, iPhones and other MP3 gear don’t generally receive radio. I downloaded the app and found it had all of my favorite local channels. It’s very easy and intuitive to use. The audio is definitely compressed, but is more than adequate for talk radio. The one drawback isn’t Grace’s fault – you will get dropouts as you travel through the much-cursed AT&T Wireless network.
