Apple TV+ Lands New Seth Rogen Comedy

By Jessica Lerner

Seth Rogen‘s new half-hour comedy has been greenlit at Apple TV+.

The series, which features Rogen, centers on a legendary Hollywood film company attempting to survive in a society where it is getting harder and harder for art and commerce to coexist.

The initiative comes from Rogan, James Weaver and Evan Goldberg’s Point Grey Pictures and Lionsgate.

Rogen also writes and directs the show, along with Goldberg. Both executive produce, as does Weaver. Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory serve as showrunners and executive producers. Frida Perez co-produces, and Josh Fagen and Alex McAtee executive produce. With a multiplatform agreement with Point Grey, Lionsgate Television serves as the studio.

Apple TV+ won the project after a competitive bidding war. Along with Rogen’s upcoming role opposite Rose Byrne in Platonic, which was co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, this marks his second project for the streamer.
