The 40th Ryder Cup concluded yesterday, and fans with 2013 or 2014 Samsung Smart TV were able to follow along with the Ryder Cup TV app, developed in collaboration with Turner Sports and the PGA of America.
The app allowed fans to follow live scores, access exclusive behind-the-scenes video footage, and view course information through virtual hole flyovers.

App features included:
– Broadcast Mode: While watching the Ryder Cup on NBC and Golf Channel, viewers were able to toggle between LIVE video feeds, launch an interactive leaderboard, and keep tabs on their favorite Team USA golfers.
– Multiscreen Capabilities: Viewers were able to pair their TV and mobile devices through the companion Android app, and access live footage and exclusive content on their phones.
– Shop Feature: Ryder Cup were able to purchase event-based merchandise, including Team USA uniforms, from their Samsung Smart TV and complete the purchase using their mobile devices or PC.
