Prime Video Launches New 12-Hour Sports Talk Programming Block

By Jessica Lerner

Prime Video wants to be a sports content juggernaut.

The streamer already has exclusive rights to NFL Thursday Night Football, and on Thursday announced the launch of Sports Talk, a new 12-hour original sports-talk programming block.

Users of Prime Video can access seven new shows on Sports Talk without a Prime subscription, and they will be broadcast live every Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. ET. Prime Video’s Sports Talk will also be accessible on Amazon’s live radio app, Amp, and Freevee, Amazon’s free, ad-supported streaming TV service.

Customers can access the programming block as an “always on” sports destination thanks to a collaboration with the production company Embassy Row.

Seven brand-name sports personalities have new, daily programs on the schedule: Bonjour Sports Talk, a multi-hosted panel show featuring Madelyn Burke, Ben Lyons and a rotating weekly guest host; The Cari Champion Show, with host Cari Champion; Game Breakers, with hosts Eitan Levine and Drexton Clemons; From the Desk of Master T, with host Master Tesfatsion; The Power Hour, with host Rennae Stubbs; The Greatest Hour of All Time, a rebroadcast of the best hour of programming from the day; and The Backup Plan, with hosts Hana Ostapchuk and Jason Spells.

Every day, the programming block will be replayed, with programs from the previous week also airing over the weekend.
