Adventure, the beach and a haunting mystery. Count us in for Peacock’s The Resort.

The series will premiere on the streamer Thursday, July 28 with three episodes at launch. New episodes will stream weekly.

The series is described as a multigenerational coming-of-age love story wrapped in a fast-paced thriller about the disappointment of time. An anniversary trip to the Yucatan puts a couple’s marriage to the test when they become involved in one of the Yucatan’s unsolved mysteries from 15 years ago.

“The Resort is about a lot of things. There are big swings, and little swings. It’s someone looking back on their life and trying to remember the good times, mixed with a 5-year-old playing with toys in the backyard,” said Andy Siara, showrunner, writer and ep, in a statement.

“It never takes itself too seriously, but sometimes it gets pretty serious. I guess, at its core, it’s about people who want to go back to a time in life when things seemed a bit easier, before the hard parts of life keep piling up,” he added. “It’s about people who are trying to recapture that feeling of home. And within that, there’s a big mystery.”

Series regulars include Nick Offerman, William Jackson Harper, Cristin Milioti, Skyler Gisondo, Luis Gerardo Mendez, Nina Bloomgarden, and Gabriela Cartol.
