PBS NewsHour Goes Social for Election Day

For those who prefer their election coverage a little more calm, PBS NewsHour is offering its program on all sorts of digital media platforms. NewsHour has a plan for Election Night that hits all the major social media platforms.

NewsHour will begin its extended election coverage at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday. It will stream on Facebook, YouTube and UStream. According to the company:

The special broadcast will be co-anchored by managing editors Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill. NewsHour correspondents John Yang will report on location from the Clinton campaign headquarters in New York and Jeffrey Brown from the Trump campaign headquarters in New York, and senior correspondent and PBS NewsHour Weekend anchor Hari Sreenivasan will report in studio in Washington, DC.

But that’s not all. Starting at 8 a.m. ET, NewsHour will be posting online, including on its Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat (@PBSNews) and Tumblr accounts.
