Stranger Things Season 4 made a monster comeback on Friday, claiming the No.1 spot as the most-streamed program of the week, according to Netflix’s Top 10 report for the week of June 27.
After slipping to No.2 behind the Season 3 premiere of The Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things 4 came back with a vengeance pulling in 301.2 million viewing hours. The season’s final two episodes were released on Friday, lifting the show to the top of the Netflix viewing charts.
The Umbrella Academy: Season 3 took second place with 87.9 million viewing hours, and the first season of Stranger Things followed with 34.4 million viewing hours.
Money Heist: Korea- Joint Economic Area: Season 1 was the most viewed in non-English TV programming with 49 million hours streamed. The Colombian telenovela Yo Soy Betty La Fea: Season 1 came in second with 11.8 million hours viewed, and Cafe Con Aroma de Mujer: Season 1 pulled in 11.5 million hours.
On the film side, The Man From Toronto starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson took the top spot for a second week in a row with 53.8 million hours viewed, while Spiderhead moved down to No. 7 with 9.5 million hours viewed. In second place, the animated musical Sing 2 has 24 million hours viewed, and Love & Gelato came in third place with 18.9 million hours.
The Norwegian alien invasion thriller Blasted was the most streamed in non-English films with 8.4 million hours, followed by the Indian action-adventure drama Anek with 4.9 million hours viewed and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with 3.6 million hours viewed.
