Netflix Debuts Three New Mobile Games to Keep Subscribers Hooked

Netflix announced three new mobile games for their subscribers as the streamer continues prioritizing its users’ smallest screens. Netflix Games are available on Android and iOS devices for free to all subscribers.

On March 22, Netflix Games will add This Is A True Story and Shatter Remastered. With This Is A True Story, the role-paying game allows players to explore hand-painted landscapes while surviving a windstorm and catching poachers. The game was created in collaboration with Charity Water, a nonprofit organization bringing clean drinking water to developing countries and Frosty Pop, to share a true story of a Sub-Saharan African woman’s daily challenge to procure clean water for her family. Shatter Remastered is an updated version of Shatter, the 2009 award-winning game originally released on Playstation 3.

Soon to be released is Into The Dead: Unleashed, the sequel to the zombie action game Into The Dead where armed players must fight off hordes of the undead while crossing treacherous terrain.

The mobile games are available in many languages Netflix offers, and will automatically default to the preference set in the user’s profile. Members will be able to play games on multiple mobile devices on the same account. Games can download directly from the Netflix mobile app on the day of release at 5 p.m. ET or directly from the Apple or Google app store at 1 p.m. ET.
