NBC Sports Delivering English Breakfasts to Soccer Fans

By Karen Fratti

ubereatsNBCsportsWhile it’s great that British Premier League football is starting, it’s also a sign that summer might be coming to a close. To soften the blow, NBC Sports is going to feed soccer fans. The network is teaming up with UberEATS to deliver a free (you hear that?) English breakfast on Saturday morning, just in time for kick off.

But only in New York City, so don’t get too excited. Breakfasts will be provided by The Peacock, accessed through the Uber app starting at 7:45 a.m. until the 300 breakfasts run out to anyone in Manhattan between 14th and 59th street. Bill Bergofin, senior vice president of marketing for NBC Sports Group says that:

We’re always thinking of fun ways to reach and reward our fan. Last year, we had a successful partnership with Uber, sending branded mini-countrymens around the city, and now we’re excited to get fans fueled up for their morning fix of Premier League football with UberEATS.

Maybe next year the mini-countrymen can deliver a classic fry up. HBO has also used Uber in the past to promote Game of Thrones, showing up to cart fans around in the Iron Throne.
