KHOU-TV, a Belo-owned company, is seeking a Multimedia Web Developer
(Special Projects) for the Digital Media Department.
This position is responsible for creating, designing and implementing
multimedia digital content under tight deadlines, while managing
multiple priorities, including news and enterprise assignments.
Additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to, working
with the online editorial team to produce content sections for
KHOU.com; developing and implementing online multimedia content
packages; creating campaigns to attract new members to KHOU.com;
providing administrative support to the department as needed;
supporting overall design maintenance to the website; creating,
designing and editing content to meet station’s objectives; and
identifying opportunities to create interactive content which
includes user ratings, user recommendations, etc.
We are seeking candidates with 3+ years web design experience;
college degree preferred; have excellent interpersonal, verbal
communication and writing skills and be able to interact with all
levels of employees; proven proficiency in interactive and graphic
design and development software including PHOTOSHOP and Dreamweaver;
familiar with HTML, XHTML, CSS, Web standards-based design, RSS,
Macromedia Flash, Adobe PHOTOSHOP, Adobe Illustrator, and Java
Script; excellent project management, organization, and
problem-solving skills.
